March beer of the month is still up for grabs. Land Shark, Jimmy Buffet's new beer, is supposed to be rolled out the beginnging of March but their web site isn't even ready yet so I'm getting a little nervous. I'm always open for suggestion. If you have an idea let me know, otherwise be ready for some beer shoppin on the 1st.

A guy I know from Canada got me to try La Fin du Monde (The End of the World). It tastes like the end of the world, but it will make you feel very, very happy. Don't know if this is how this works but everyone should try it at least once.

That sounds cool as $h!t. I will see if they sell it at local retailers or at least orderable?? online. The beer of the month will be anounced on the beer page of http://www.nhfclub.com around March 1st. Get a sixer of Natty for a chaser as I am not responsible for beer that tastes like butt.

Scotty got me real excited so I did some research on La Fin du Monde. The web site is very cool. Looks very tasty. Found it on specks.com. What beer could go better with the end of the world that is about to happen this coming Tuesday.
What I found is they are wanting $10 for a 12oz bottle. That's not the bad part. It's $25 for shipping. $35 is 2 30 packs of Busch and 2 cans of Grizzly so I can't do it. I will keep looking though for a better deal on La Fin Du Monde. http://www.unibroue.com/products/fin.cfm

Scotty Magee, IF that beer is from Canada, did you notice if it was made from hops and barley or from ball sweat? I think Damon might really like it if it was made with ball sweat.

To my friends who enjoy a glass of beer.. . and those who don't.

As Ben Franklin said: In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is freedom, in
water there is bacteria. In a number of carefully controlled trials,
scientists have demonstrated
that if we drink 1 litre of water each day, at the end of the year we would
have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. coli) - bacteria
found in feces. In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop.

However, we do NOT run that risk when drinking wine &beer (or tequila, rum,
whiskey or other liquor) because alcohol has to go through a purification
process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.

Remember: Water = Poop, Beer = Health .
Therefore, it's better to drink beer and talk stupid, than to drink water
and be full of shit.

There is no need to thank me for this valuable information: I'm doing it as
a public service . Personally I work in a dry county but live just over the line in a wet county. At the local quickstop in my town (Bryson Pop. 568) the main stay beer is whatever is cheapest ( Thank God for the natti).

Don't know if this helps anyone, but you can get Fin du Monde at Doc's. The bottles are 750 ml and cost $9.99. If you can stomach it - 2 bottles will pretty much do you. And yes Tiny D it is made from the sweat of Canadian Mounties.

K-dizzle - 2 words - "road trip." Maybe the experience would inspire a new song.

Now you listen here K-Dilly Dally.

It's not our fault that you can't handle Texas and good old fashion Beer slamming.

You and Damon are just going to have to sip what yall make in in the back yard in your tin cans, wash tubs, and clay pots. There is nothing wrong with submitting that for beer of the month. Maybe you can run us some down here in your 1983 Trans-Am, T-Top. Just remember to take the old Ozark trail to Uncle Jesse's home and then take a right in the Appalachains to you get to Damon's brother's house and pick a few cords with him and his BanJO. Then just follow the Convoy all the way to Texas and becareful to not let old smoky get you.

It looks like I CAN get that beer via the internet, without the road trip. Thanks Doat for caring enough to send me some good info., unlike scotty and little D. I guess this board is helping shape my friend tree. Darren.... you're a root, scotty...... bark!

Maybe next month we can do a beer just for Damon and Kdizzle since they are in TN. It comes in a big jug with three X's on the side and when you're finished you can play a song with it on the front porch.

Picked up a six-pack today at Doc's in Lubbock. It was good. I liked it. I have a feeling I may only be trying the Beers of the Month that coincide with vistits to Lubbock.

They have a Specks in Midland, 2701 N. Big Spring. I would think they would carry that beer since it is a Texas beer and a Texas beer store. If not you need to go in and throw a serious bitch. Next month's beer should be available everywhere so don't worry too much. I'm trying to find beer available to everyone. At least everyone in Texas. Sorry Michael, Damon, Kdizzle, and Tover. I think after 8 or 9 months we may be down to testing Budweiser but I'm trying to find beer that incorporates everyone.
Lubbock does suck because you have to drive out to the strip to buy your life giving nectar. But if the store you go to doesn't have what you want you don't go across town to another store, you go across the parking lot to the next store...that's all I have to say about that.
BTW, don't forget to try the Saint A TX Wheat in a glass. Being able to sniff it whilst you drink does make a big difference. I put mine in the freezer and chilled her up. I am glad you liked it but I'm sure eventually we'll get around to one that makes you get the wet gags so count you're blessings. Thanks for the input Naked.
